Mr. Robert Choong, CEO – Chief Executive Officer
Robert Choong, a business graduate from the Chinese University of Hong Kong serves as Chief Executive Officer. His father, Hsien Choong founded Hepburn Investment in 2010. Since his retirement in 2012, Robert has maintained the family spirit and intrepid culture within the office in which he works day to day, and the company as a whole.
He is very hands on, and still personally maintains the portfolios of several key clients he has had a relationship with for many years. As he approaches 30 years trading experience, it is clear that the overview he has of world markets is one of Hepburn Investment’s most valuable assets.
Specialising in offshore investment strategy and tax efficiency, Robert is also who our advisors ultimately consult on complex matters of inheritance planning and non-domicile asset structuring.
Mr. Malcolm Knowles, CFO – Chief Financial Officer
Malcolm Knowles joined the firm in 2012 as a senior analyst. A varied career prior to this had seen him gain experience in corporate finance in several sectors of the Asian market which remain of key importance to us to this day. Malcolm’s influence in Hepburn Investment can be felt everywhere, and his is a very ‘hands-on’ type of guy, ensuring due diligence, risk assessment and background checks are never dealt with complacently.
His specialist knowledge is often called upon in relation to company formation, segregated portfolios, and the market especially in sectors such as minerals and mining, rare earth processing and derivatives. Malcolm’s ability to second guess Chinese financial policy is unparalleled.
Malcolm Knowles earned his Master’s in Economics & Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE).
